2 lbs. stew meat
1 small can peas
1 cup sliced carrots
1 med. onion chopped
1 t. salt
1/2 t. pepper
1 can tomato soup thinned with 1/2 can water
1 small can tomato sauce
4-5 peeled cubed Idaho potatoes
1 bay leaf

Preheat oven to 275º. Put all ingredients except peas into a Dutch oven with lid. Cover and bake for 5 hours. Put peas into mixture about an hour before serving. Remove bay leaf before serving.

You can cook at a higher temp. for a shorter period of time but the meat gets more tender at lower temps. You can also make in crock pot on low.
