Cake:
1 1/2 cups oil
3 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 1/2 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup grated carrots
1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
1 cup coconut
1 cup chopped pecans

Buttermilk Sauce:
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 stick margarine
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon Karo syrup

Cake:
Beat all ingredients together in a large bowl. Pour into a well greased and floured sheet cake pan (9X13). Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes. Top with buttermilk sauce or cream cheese frosting.

Sauce:
Put all ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook 5 minutes. Prick warm cake with fork and pour sauce over cake while it's hot.
