6 medium potatoes
3 tablespoons margarine
2 1/2 cups milk
3 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 small or medium onion
3 cups chopped ham

Directions:
Directions:
Boil potatoes until done. Peel and slice. Heat 3 tablespoons margarine in 2 1/2 cups milk. Sift together 3 tablespoons flour, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Add to milk and margarine, Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Put sliced potatoes in greased 2 quart casserole dish. Put 1 layer potatoes, 1 layer white sauce, 1 layer onion and 1 layer ham. Repeat until all ingredients are used up. Bake at 325º for 30 minutes or 350º for 25 minutes. Can add grated cheese if you want.
