1 head of Green Cabbage

Directions:
Directions:
Cut a firm head of green cabbage fairly coarsely. Melt margarine in a heavy frying pan and put your cabbage in to fry. Sprinkle with salt and stir until fairly limp. Dust with flour and mix well. Let the cabbage begin to brown and then add a mixture of water, sugar and vinegar. (In the later years Mom used the juice from sweet pickles diluted with some water) Cook until the sauce is thickened and the cabbage uniformly brown.

Personal Notes:
I think this should be called sweet and sour cabbage.
