2 Eggs
1 1/2 c. Sugar
1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/4 tsp. Salt
4 tbsp. Cacao Powder
3/4 c. Milk
1 Stick (8 tbsp.) Melted Butter
3/4 c. Flour

Preheat oven to 350º
Butter 9"-10" cake pan and dust pan with Sugar. (You can use flour if you would prefer...the sugar gives it a slightly crunchy edge.)

Beat Eggs and Sugar on high speed until Fluffy
Add Vanilla, Baking Powder and Salt
Decrease speed to low and add Cacao Powder slowly. When fully incorporated, add Milk. When cooled down, add Melted Butter, and lastly add the Flour.

Pour batter into cake pan and Bake 30-35 Minutes at 350º . Toothpick in center of cake should not be totally clean.

This cake is very rich and almost like Brownies.

It can stand alone without frosting. But if you prefer, feel free to frost away.
I typically just dust lightly with Powdered Sugar and add a dollop of Whipped Cream.
If you are really daring, you could top with fresh Strawberries or Bananas Foster or Cherry Pie Filling or Chocolate Mousse or Vanilla Ice Cream. Whatever you might like!!!
