2 1/2 c. old fashioned oats

1/4 t. salt
3 1/3 milk or half & half
2 eggs
2 t. vanilla
1/3 c. brown sugar packed

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Combine oats, sugar, and salt in medium bowl. Whisk milk, eggs and vanilla in separate bowl. Combine dry and wet ingredients and pour into greased baking dish. Bake for 40 minutes; center will jiggle slightly.
Remove from oven. Sprinkle evenly with brown sugar. With back of spoon, gently spread sugar in thin layer across entire surface. Return to oven and bake 2-3 minutes until sugar melts.
Set oven to broil and broil 3 inches from heat until sugar bubbles; 1-2 minutes. Watch carefully to prevent burning. Spoon into bowls and serve.
I serve with bananas and chopped nuts. Yum! The oatmeal is best the first day.
