6 carrots
1/4 lb butter
1-1/2 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
dash nutmeg
1/2 cup brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Scrape and slice carrots 1/4" thick. In a 2 qt saucepan, add carrots, water, sugar, butter, salt and nutmeg. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes. Uncover and add brown sugar. Continue cooking until carrots are tender.
