2 cans (28 oz.can) candied yams, drained
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. each cloves and allspice
½ stick margarine
1 c firmly packed brown sugar
1 c chopped pecans
marshmallows to cover top

Directions:
Directions:
Mash the yams with softened margarine. Add spices and brown sugar mixing well. Add pecans. Place in a greased baking dish. Put marshmallows on top to cover. Do not press too deep.
Bake at 350º 20-30 minutes or until marshmallows are browned.

These sweet potatoes have come out differently at different Thanksgiving meals. One year the marshmallows disappeared into the mixture. Another time the marshmallows burned on top. And in 2009, I inadvertently sabotaged them by leaving out the information that the yams needed to be drained. Sorry Kim. They were still good, just a little soupy.
