1 lb shrimp (deveined)
4 servings quick grits
1 1/2 c Gorgonzola cheese
6 slices bacon
1 bunch green onions
1 c heavy cream
4 cloves minced garlic
1 stick butter
S & P to taste
olive oil
chicken broth

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare grits according to package substituting chicken broth for water. When thick, add heavy cream, cheese, butter and 2 cloves garlic. Cook until desired consistency. Fry bacon until crispy. Break into small pieces. Saute remaining garlic and shrimp in olive oil and some of the bacon fat until shrimp are pink. Serve grits in a soup or salad bowl with shrimp on top, followed by bacon and green onions.

This recipe is very similar to my daughter, Blake's Shrimp and Grits. It came about when I tried to make hers from memory!
