Cake:

2 C flour
1 C oil
2 C sugar
1 C milk
¾ C cocoa
1 C brewed coffee
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs


Icing:

1 C milk
4 Tbs flour
1 C butter or margarine
1 ½ C confectioners’ sugar
½ C Spry or Crisco
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together until smooth. Batter will be liquidy.

Grease and flour a pan. Pour batter into pan and bake at 350° to 375° for 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted is clean.

For Icing:

Beat milk and flour. Put in a saucepan and stir and cook until thickened. Cool completely.

In a separate bowl, add the cooled flour and milk mixture. Add the butter, sugar, Spry or Crisco and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Spread on cooled cake.
