3/4 lb ground beef
3/4 lb ground pork
1 T. salt ( more if desired)
1 T. paprika
1/2 T. black pepper
1/2 cup rice
1 large onion
1 T. of oil
1 large head cabbage
1 small can sauerkraut
1 can of tomato juice
1/2 Pt. sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Core cabbage and place in enough boiling salted water to cover. With a fork and knife keep cutting off the leaves as they become wilted. Drain. Trim thick center vein of each cabbage leave.
Brown onion in oil. Add to meat, onions, seasonings and rice, mix well. Place a tablespoon of the meat mixture on each cabbage leaf and roll, tuck under the edges.
Layer the cabbage rolls in a pot with sauerkraut and chopped cabbage leaves. Cover the pot two-thirds full with the tomato juice. Cover and cook slowly for about 1-1/2 hours or until rice is tender.
Optional;
Pour sour cream on top and cook 5 minutes more
