1 3lb frying chicken
2 carrots, sliced
2 onions, slices
2 celery stalks, cubed
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. course black pepper
1/2 cup water
1/2 to 1 tsp. basil

Directions:
Directions:
Put half of carrot's, onions and celery on bottom of crock pot. Add chicken pieces. Top with salt, pepper, liquid and remaining half of vegetables. Sprinkle basil over top. For more broth, add 2 cups of water. Cover and cook 8 - 10 hours on LOW.
