2-1/2 lbs. Granny Smith Apples Peeled & Sliced
3/4 c. sugar
2 T. flour
1 t. cinnamon
juice from 1/2 fresh lemon

Topping:
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 stick butter softened
1 deep dish frozen pie crust thawed

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425º Place apples in a large bowl with filling ingredients shown above and mix well. Pour into a store bought deep dish pie crust that has been thawed for about 15 min. Combine sugar, flour and butter for topping until crumbly and sprinkle evenly over apples. Pie will be high. Slide into heavy brown paper bag large enough to cover pie loosely. Fold ends over and fasten with metal paper clips (or staple). Place on cookie before putting into oven for 1 hour on center rack away from heat elements. Bag will not burn but will smell.
Remove from oven and split open with scissors. Cool on rack and serve with vanilla ice cream or any other favorite topping you wish. Enjoy!
