1 large onion
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. flour
1 quart rich chicken broth
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Salt
Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Slice the onion into quarters, and then slice thin cross sections and saute in butter to a golden brown. Add the flour to the onion and butter and blend well then add the one quart of hot chicken broth and simmer for 20 minutes.
Season with 1 bay leaf, sprig of parsley and a touch of garlic, boil the mixture for a few minutes. Remove the parsley, bay leaf and garlic. Add Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste.
For each portion of soup prepare croutons, fried in butter and after soup is poured, place croutons in cub topped with generous portions of grated Parmesan cheese. Place in hot over for a few minutes before serving.
