2 1/4 c. Quaker all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
3/4 c. shortening, softened
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. milk
3 c. quick oats
1 c. raisins, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg into bowl. Add shortening, sugars, eggs and milk. Beat until smooth, about 2 minutes. Stir in oats and raisins. Refrigerate dough about 1 hour.

Roll out on lightly floured surface to 1/4" thickness. Cut with floured 3" round cutter. Place on greased cookie sheets; sprinkle lightly with granulated sugar. Bake in preheated moderate oven at 375º for 12 to 15 minutes.
