1 cup plus 1 T butter or margarine
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. almond flavoring
3 eggs
2 cups sifted powdered sugar
4 T cream
1 tsp vanilla or almond
1/8 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cut 1/2 cup butter into 1 cup flour until mixture resembles coarse meal; add 2 T. cold water and stir until well blended. Divide dough in half; press each half into 3X12 inch rectangle on ungreased baking sheet. Place 1 cup boiling water and 1/2 cup butter in saucepan; bring to boil. Add almond flavoring; remove from heat. Stir in remaining flour; add eggs 1 at a time beating well. Spread over pastry rectangles. Bake at 400º 50 minutes. Combine remaining butter, powdered sugar, cream, vanilla, and salt.; beat until smooth. Frost hot pastry.
