1 C shortening (1/2 butter)
1 1/2 C granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 3/4 C flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
4 T sugar
4 T cinnamon
Directions:
Directions:
Mix thoroughly the shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Separately mix together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt and stir into shortening mixture. Roll into balls the size of walnuts.
Mix together 4 T sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough balls in cinnamon/sugar mixture and place 2" apart on cookie sheet. Bake at 400º for 8-10 minutes.
