2 cups sugar
2 sticks butter or margarine
5 egg yolks
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups coconut
1/2 to 1 cup pecans
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the sugar, margarine and 5 egg yolks. Add flour, baking soda, buttermilk, coconut, pecans and vanilla. Beat 2 egg whites; fold the egg whites into the batter. Bake at 350º for 30 to 35 minutes.
FROSTING: Mix together 8 ounces softened cream cheese, 1 stick butter or margarine, 1 pound powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 to 1 cup pecans. Frost cooled cake and sprinkle with coconut.
