18 oreo cookies
1/4 cup butter
3 oz. squares unsweetened chocolate
1/4 cup butter
2/3 cup sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 drops almond extract
1 qt. coffee ice cream
1 cup whip cream
3 tbsp. confections sugar
1 cup chopped nuts

Crush cookies, mix with softened butter. Press finely into a 10 inch pi pan. Freeze about an hour. Melt chocolate and butter; add sugar and salt. Gradually add milk. Cook over low heat about 5 minutes stirring constantly. Add vanilla and almond extract. Chill thoroughly. Soften ice cream slightly. Spoon into chilled pie shell. Return to freezer.
Whip cream until it stands in soft peaks, gradually adding confections sugar. Spread chilled chocolate sauce over ice cream. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with nuts. Freeze until firm, at least 4 hours or overnight. Before serving, allow pie to stand at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly.
