1 package dry yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water
1 cup cottage cheese, at room temperature
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon instant onion
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
2 teaspoons dill seed
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg
2 1/2 to 3 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Soften yeast in water. Combine cottage cheese, sugar, onion, butter, dill seed, salt and baking soda. Be sure this is all lukewarm before adding the yeast softened in water. Add the unbeaten egg and beat well. Add flour to make a stiff dough. Cover and let rise until double in bulk. Punch down and make into loaf. Let rise again -- about 30 to 40 minutes. Bake at 350º for 35 to 45 minutes. After removing from oven, brush with butter and sprinkle with onion salt.
