1/2 pt. vegetable oil
1 - 8 oz. bottle soy sauce
1/4 box Old Bay Seafood Seasoning
Flour
12 soft shell crabs (3 to 4 crabs per person)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil in a deep cast iron skillet, or a deep fat fryer is best. Mix soy sauce, Old Bay and enough flour to make a thick batter. Dip crabs in batter and deep fry for about 10 minutes.

This was one of my husband Joe's favorite beach dishes.

Side note: The name "Joe-baby" is what my granddaughter Shannon came up with to refer ever-so-lovingly to her grandfather. (She may have had a little help from me coming up with that one.)
