1 cup rice
Water
Salt
Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Put water in pot (about 3/4 full) and salt generously. Bring to boil. Add rice all at once and stir slightly. Cover and boil 17 minutes. Pour into colander and run cold water through it while fluffing with hand (or fork, if you insist). Let drain. Put in buttered casserole dish and cover. Place in lower oven at 225º for 30 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving.

Norman and Nita Pete Lang were dear friends and neighbors in Orange, Texas. They didn't have any children, but spent many Saturdays with Holly making cakes and giving her their recipes! They were both great cooks.
