1 - 2 1/2 lb. brisket
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)
1 pod garlic, slivered
1 1/2 pkg. dried onion soup mix
1 onion, chopped
1/2 cup ketchup

Directions:
Directions:
Salt and pepper the brisket to taste and put slivers of the garlic into the meat. Put the brisket into a baking pan and add the dried onion soup mix and the chopped onions. Add enough water to the pan to just cover the meat. Add the ketchup and stir well. Cover with foil and place in a pre-heated oven at 450º for half an hour. Lower the oven to 350º and cook for another 2 hours.
