* 1/2 cup Butter or Margarine, softened
* 1/4 cup Brown Sugar, packed
* 1 Egg yolk
* 1 cup all-purpose Flour
* 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
* 1/8 tsp Salt

* 1 Egg White, beaten with a fork
* 2/3 cup finely chopped Nuts for coating

* Jam or Jelly

Preheat oven to 325ºC. Cream butter and sugar together. Bet in egg yolk Stir flour, baking powder and salt together and add to butter mixture. Shape into small balls Dip into egg white, then roll in nuts. Place on greased baking sheet and dent each cookie with yoru thumb or end of wooden spoon. Bake for 5 minutes. Remove and press dents again.Continue to bake for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
Fill dents with jam while warm.
