Pie Filling:
Use Instant Vanilla Pudding OR make it yourself:
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
4 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla

2 Egg Yellow Cake:
2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 stick of soft butter
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs

Pie Filling:
Add sugar, cornstarch and salt to saucepan.
Gradually add 1/2 of the milk, bring to a boil; remove from heat.
Add rest of milk mixture to slightly beaten egg yolks and pour back into hot milk mixture. Bring back to a boil, stir in vanilla and remove from heat.
Cool before filling cake.

Two Egg Yellow Cake:
Heat oven to 350.
Grease pans
Mix flour with sugar, baking powder, and salt
Add butter, milk, and vanilla. Beat 2 minutes
Add eggs; beat 2 additional minutes. Pour mix into cake pans.
Bake for 30 minutes. Let cool and fill with pie filling between cake layers.

* Ice cake with chocolate icing
