2 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 1/2 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground gloves
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup crisco
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
white sugar for rolling

Directions:
Directions:
preheat the oven to 350º.

Combine the flour, soda and spices. Set aside.

Cream the crisco, butter and brown sugar. Add the molasses, egg and salt. Mix well.

Add the dry ingredients a cup at a time until all mixed.

Dig in and enjoy!!! (just kidding--I don't bother to bake it, but some people might want to.)

Roll into balls and roll in sugar. Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes.
