Salad:
1/3 cup slivered almonds
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon sugar
Red leaf lettuce
1 cup chopped celery
2 sliced green onions
1 small can mandarin oranges, drained

Dressing:
1/4 cup oil
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
snipped or dry parsley
dash pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
dash hot pepper sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Stir almonds and sugar in skillet until sugar melts and almonds are coated.

Combine salad ingredients.

Combine dressing ingredients.
