½ cup cocoa (Droste)
½ cup boiling water
2/3 cup butter (11 tbsp)
1 ¾ cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
1 ½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 1/3 cups buttermilk or vanilla yogurt

Heat oven to 350 degrees
Grease and flour two 9” pans
In small bowl, stir cocoa with water until smooth. In large mixer bowl, beat butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs, beat well. Mix remaining dry ingredients and add to butter mixture alternating with yogurt. Blend in cocoa mixture and beat well.

Bake 35 to 40 minutes.

Frosting:
6 tablespoons butter
2 2/3 cups powdered sugar
½ cup cocoa
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In small mixer bowl, beat butter. Add powdered sugar, cocoa alternately with milk. Beat to spreading consistency. Blend in vanilla.
