5 sweet onions
3 T. butter
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. pepper
3 t. flour
5 to 6 cans beef broth
˝ cup dry white wine
1 crushed garlic

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté onions and garlic in butter for 10 minutes; cover until tender. Add salt, pepper and sugar. Cook for 30 minutes or longer, uncovered. Add flour; mix well. Add broth and wine. Simmer for an hour or longer. Serve topped with bread and melted cheese.
