3 ¼ cups flour
1 pkg. yeast
1 ¼ cup milk
½ cup butter
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Combine 2 cups flour and the yeast. Heat milk, butter, sugar and salt just till warm.(115-120 degrees) and butter is almost melted; stir constantly. Add the flour mixture to the milk mixture; add egg. Beat at low speed for ½ minute. Beat 3 minutes on high speed. Add the remaining flour and beat on low speed until batter is smooth. Cover and let rise in a warm place until double. Beat down with a wooden spoon. Spoon into 1 lg. or 2 small greased loaf pans.
