1 box white cake mix
2 pkgs. frozen or canned coconut
16 oz. sour cream
2 c. sugar
9 oz. Cool Whip

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cake according to directions on box. Pour batter in two greased 9" cake pans and bake at 350º until golden brown. Cool completely; split each layer in half to make 4 layers.

Mix coconut with sour cream and sugar. Set aside /2 cup for later use.

Spread the remaining coconut mixture between three of the layers. Mix the 1/2 cup cocunut mixture with the Cool Whip and spread on top layer and sides. Refrigerate three days in air-tight container before cutting. Keep cake refrigerated after serving.
