5 slices of bread
1 lb sausage, cooked
1 c grated cheddar cheese
6 eggs
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp salt
4 oz green chilies from a can
2 cups milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º Fahrenheit.

Place bread in a 13x9x2 inch baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients together and pour over bread. Refrigerate until chilled and bread has soaked up the liquid. Place in the middle of the oven and bake for 60 minutes. Let sit 15 minutes before slicing, then dig in.

Note: Longhorn or Monterrey Jack cheese may be substituted in place of cheddar.

This recipe I got from my dear friend Jewel Rawson. She would bring it the parish breakfasts when we would "do" breakfast at the church. I adopted it as a good breakfast for Christmas morning.
