4 eggs
1 c. vegetable oil
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. coconut
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. coconut extract
1 c. slivered almonds
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt

Glaze:
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. water
3 tbsp. butter, melted
1 tsp. coconut extract

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and soda; set aside. Mix in bowl all the other ingredients. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Pour into 2 well greased bread pans.* Bake at 325º for 1 hour. Insert toothpick if it comes out clean, it's done. While warm, poke holes with long fork and pour glaze over top. Let cool in pan. Run knife around edges and remove from pan onto a cooling rack.

Glaze:
Put sugar, water, and butter in small sauce pan and boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add coconut extract.

*2 large bread pans, 4 medium bread pans, or 6 small bread pans.
