1 cup oats (quick or regular)
1 stick oleo or margarine
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/3 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over oats and oleo and let stand 20 minutes. Add all remaining ingredients to first mixture. Next add 2 eggs and beat well. Bake in large flat pan, that has been greased and floured. Cake is better if not too thick. Bake 35 minutes at 350º.
TOPPING---- 1 stick oleo, 2 tbsp. milk, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 cup coconut, 1 cup chopped nuts, 1 tsp. vanilla. Melt oleo and them mix with other ingredients. Pour on cake and brown under broiler. Watch closely, it takes a very short time.
