2 lbs. Navy Beans
2 tsp. salt

2/3 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. ketchup (optional)
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 lb. salt pork or bacon ends
1 large onion, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Soak navy beans overnight in water and 2 tsp. salt. In the morning, simmer for 1 hour. Drain. Save 3 1/2 c. simmering liquid.

Add rest of ingredients and mix with enough of the reserved liquid to cover the beans.

Bake at 300º for 5-7 hours. You may need to add more liquid as beans bake.
