2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
tsp salt
1 cup buttermilk
5 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
cup margarine
cup shortening
cup coconut
1 cup chopped nuts
5 eggs whites
ICING
1lb powdered sugar
1 stick margarine softened
1 (8oz) cream cheese at room temp.
1 tsp vanilla
cup chopped nuts
Mix all together ; beat until smooth. When cake is cooled ice it.

Mix dry ingredients together and set aside. Mix buttermilk, yolks, vanilla, margarine and shorting. Combine with dry ingredients. Add coconut and nuts. Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold batter. Pour into 3 (9-inch) greased and floured pans. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350
