1 lg. bag frozen peas
1/2 red onion, diced
1 jar Hormel bacon bits
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 c. cooked and cooled macaroni (optional)
1 pkg. shredded sharp cheese
1 c. Hellmans mayonnaise
1 T. (or so) sugar
Pepper and salt to taste

Thaw peas over cool water, and let drain. Mix the rest of ingredients except the Mayonnaise, sugar, salt and pepper. In separate bowl, whisk the dressing ingredients. Add dressing to the pea salad, and mix to combine until well coated. Cover and chill for 2 or more hours.
