PEEL TOMATOES AND COOK UNTIL TENDER. FILL QUART CANNING JARS. ADD 1 TSP SALT AND 1/2 TSP SUGAR. TAKE KNIFE AND STIR INSIDE JAR. CLEAN RIM OF JAR. HEAT LID IN BOILING WATER AND PUT ON CLEANED JAR. SEAL. WAIT UNTIL COOLED (SEVERAL HOURS) BEFORE MOVING JARS.
