Personal Notes:
This recipe is from my maternal grandparents' cookbook. Brigardeiros are traditional sweets served at childrens' birthday and other parties in Brazil. My grandparents used to always make these for my brothers and for me, on our birthdays, for school parties, or for other celebrations. They taught my nanny how to make these, and she makes them now on every birthday of ours. My brother, Gustavo, likes these so much that Zuny has made it a habit to make a giant-sized brigadeiro, which she puts in the center of the plate, just for him!
