2 tablespoons Butter
2 tablespoons flour
¼ teaspoon white pepper
2 cups milk
½ pound Velveeta, Cubed
½ pound elbow macaroni
½ teaspoon salt
Bread crumbs
Bacon

Directions:
Directions:
In a double boiler, melt butter. Blend in flour, salt and pepper and heat to a sizzle.

Remove from heat and blend in milk.

Gradually add cubed Velveeta cheese and stir until melted over boiling water.

Cook macaroni until al dente – set aside.

Lightly fry bacon and save fat.

Add drained macaroni to 1 ¾ - 2qt casserole dish and cover with cheese sauce, mixing gently.

Sprinkle with bread crumbs and bacon. Pour rendered bacon fat on top.

Cover and bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

Broil until browned on top – about 5 minutes.
