2 c. milk

1/2 c. sugar
2 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
8-10 c. flour
1/2 c. melted oleo

Directions:
Scald milk and pour over salt and sugar in mixing bowl. Cool to lukewarm. Soften yeast in warm water. To the milk, add the yeast and 3 or 4 cups of flour. Beat thoroughly (can use mixer). Add melted oleo and beaten eggs. Beat well. Add enough flour to make a soft dough, just so it can be handled easily. Turn dough out on floured board. Let rest while you clean the bowl and brush with melted fat. Knead dough until smooth and satiny (approx. 8 to 10 minutes). Place dough in greased bowl. Turn over to grease top. Cover with dampened towel. Let rise until double in bulk. Punch down, turn over, and let rise again. Punch down and shape into rolls. Place rolls on greased pans. Let rise until double in bulk. Bake at 375º for 15-20 minutes. Brush tops with butter.

This recipe can also be used to make cinnamon rolls.
