2 T. shortening
4 T. scalded cream or evaporated milk
3 c. confectioners sugar, sifted
3 T. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. almond extract

Melt shortening and butter in scalded milk. Pour hot milk over combined sugar and salt and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add vanilla. Beat until thick enough to spread
