1 package of Baker's German Chocolate (4oz), broken into pieces
2 T butter
1/3 c. sugar
1 c. Karo corn syrup (light or dark)
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/4 c. pecan halves
1 unbaked pie crust shell

Directions:
Directions:
1. Microwave chocolate and butter in microwave safe bowl on high for one to two minutes until butter is melted. Stir halfway through heating time. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
2. Stir in sugar, corn syrup, eggs and vanilla until well blended. Stir in pecans. Pour into pastry shell-lined pie plate.
3. Bake at 350ºF for 50 minutes or until filling is firm. Cool on wire rack. May be served at room temperature or cold. Store in fridge.

My mom has made this for every Thanksgiving for as long as I can remember. It is my favorite pecan pie because chocolate makes everything taste better! =)
