6 c. thinly sliced pickling cucumbers
2 small onions, sliced
2 tbsp. salt
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 c. white or cider vinegar
1 tsp. celery seed

Directions:
Directions:
Layer pickling cucumbers and onions in 2 1/2 to 3 quart glass container. Mix remaining ingredients thoroughly until sugar is dissolved; pour on cucumbers and onions. Cover and refrigerate. Pickles are ready to eat after 24 hours. Pickles can be stored in refrigerator up to 1 month.

Makes about 1 1/2 quarts.
