3 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
1 large can Comstock cherry pie filling

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, soda and salt. Cream shortening (Crisco), sugar and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat thoroughly. Add dry ingredients. May chill, but not necessary. Roll out. Cut one small round cookie and 1 medium round cookie for each cookie. Then place the smaller cookie on cookie sheet. Place 2 or 3 cherries with some filling on each. Cover with larger cookie. Tap together around edge. Bake at 375º for 10 minutes.

These cookies do not keep well. Should be eaten in a day or two, but that's not usually a problem. They are a favorite in our family!
