3-4 lb. chuck roast
1 tbs. meat tenderizer
Black pepper
5 oz soy sauce
1 tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup bourbon
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
Potatoes, carrots and onions, peeled and cut into large pieces (Optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Pierce roast with fork; rub meat tenderizer into meat.
Sprinkle with pepper.
Place roast in a 9x13 baking dish.
In a bowl, mix the remaining ingredients.
Pour over roast and marinate for 12 hours or overnight. Before cooking, add optional vegetables.
Cook at 325 for 2 1/2 hours, or in a crockpot on medium for 6-8 hours until done.
