1 pkg. German chocolate
1/2 cup boiling water
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 egg yolks, unbeaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup butter milk
4 egg whites, stiffly beaten

Topping;
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup sugar
3 egg yolks
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
1 can coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Bake at 350º for35 to 40 minutes

Melt chocolate in boiling water; cool. Cream butter and sugar together, add egg yolks, add melted chocolate mixture. Fold in egg whites.

Bake in 2 round greased and floured pans.

TOPPING:
Combine all ingredients except coconut and nuts, in a sauce pan. Stir over medium heat until thick.
Add coconut and nuts. Hand stir all together.
Top when cake is slightly cool.

Spoon a layer on first cake, place second cake on top. Spread mixture on top and all around. Ready to serve.
