Dried lupini beans (2 packages)

Directions:
Directions:
Place the lupini beans in a large pot, fill with water, cover, and leave to soak overnight. The next day, drain the lupinis (they should be rehydrated by this time). Refill pot with water, bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes. Drain. Cover with fresh cold water. Repeat this for approximately 2 weeks (minimum twice daily) until they are sweet to taste. Place beans in clean mason jars, fill with water, and store in the refrigerator. Can be stored for 4 to 6 weeks. To serve, place in dish and sprinkle with salt to taste.

During James' deployment he sampled tasty lupini beans in Malta that had been mixed with olive oil, salt and pepper just prior to serving.
