1 Stick Butter
½ Cup Vegetable Shortening
2 Cup Sugar
5 Egg Yolks
1 t Vanilla
2 Cup All Purpose Flour
1 t Soda
1 Cup Buttermilk
1 Can Angel Flake Coconut
1 Cup Nuts, chopped
5 Egg Whites.
ICING
1 8oz Cream Cheese
1 Stick of Butter
1 Box Powdered Sugar
1 t Vanilla
1/3 Cups nuts, chopped fine

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a bowl cream butter and shortening. Gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
2. Add egg yolks and vanilla. Sift flour with soda. Gradually add to mixture
3. By hand, stir in coconut and nuts. Beat egg whites until stiff. Stir into mixture. Beat vigorously until blended. Fold all eggs whites in.
4. Pour into 9 x 13. Bake 325 until springs back when touched. Cool and Frost.
FROST:
1. In a bowl beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add sugar and vanilla. Spread on top and sides of cake . Sprinkle nuts on top.
