Blend:
1 c. hot water
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
2 tsp. salt
cool to lukewarm
Dissolve:
1 package of cake yeast in 1/4 c. lukewarm water
2 eggs well beaten
1 c. canned milk
Honey Glaze:
1/2 c. honey
4 tsp. boiling water
1 c. powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together and add 4 cups sifted flour and beat well. Add 3 1/2 cups flour. Mix until smooth. Roll out 1/4 inch thick and fry at (370º for 3-5 minutes. Drain and roll in sugar or brush on honey glaze.
